Presentation/Mini-bio:
In November 1985, under the egid of professor, researcher and choreographer Ubiracy Ferreira, BACNARÉ was born. A group that bends the limits of dance to incentive in its members the interest for research and the awakening of a knowledge that goes beyond their cultural roots. Now they work in a very decent, serious and successful way. It enlightens audiences in Recife (capital of Pernambuco) and has already been shown to many countries in Europe, Asia and in Latin America, showing a face of Brazil that not many had the opportunity to see. The affluence of its cultural manifestations resulted from a strength of three races (indigenous, black and white). Wherever it has gone, it left enchantment and a feeling of appreciation and respect for a dignifying job making every audience that watches it to feel infected and dancing to its vibrant and deep rhythm. They are youngsters who shine through dance. Throughout all these years in its many international tours, BACNARÉ has received 160 awards and is considered one of the Brazilian groups with more awards received.
