The XAXADO GROUP CABRAS DE LAMPIÃO is the utmost promoter of this dance style and maintains the originality and authenticity as it was created by the backlands players. It's a troupe of artists from the backlands - specifically from the same city where Virgolino Ferreira da Silva, LAMPIÃO, was born - that reproduces on stage how Virgolino's gang had fun on the semi-arid lands, in between their fights. The XAXADO GROUP CABRAS DE LAMPIÃO brought the bandits to the stage and the cangaço became an art act with a new and revolutionary image of the Cangaço King. It's a show that takes the audience into a deep dive at the magic and mystery world of the backlands. With live music - acordeon, triangle and zabumba (type of bass drum) - and a repertoire of the cangaço, Brazilian Folk Songs and costumes similar to the ones the bandits used to wear, Lampião's saga is shown in an involving way with unique beauty. The XAXADO GROUP CABRAS DE LAMPIÃO performs in sport courts, clubs, squares, stages, platforms, cultural events and traditional folk parties.
