Thila Guedes

Presentation/Mini-bio:

Thilaine Guedes (aka Thila Guedes) was born in Recife, Pernambuco and lives at Jaboatão dos Guararapes - PE. She graduated in Architecture and has always been connected to the art field. She began acting on the dance field in 2017 at the International Festival Cena CumpliCidades and in 2017 she debuted as an independent Cultural Producer producing the show QUANDO SE CALAM OS ANJOS by the CURITIBA CIA DE DANÇA, at Caixa Cultural Recife. In the same year she took on the role of executive producer of the International Festival Cena CumpliCidades, where she still works. In 2019 she moved to Mondevideo, Uruguay, where she lived for a year working on a network, actions and attending meetings linked to the apparel of the creative industry of Latin-American dance. Thus she worked with local managers and producers holding events and viability studies for the realization of a network of support for the production and coproduction of spectacles, artistic residence making, festival and scenic areas, as well as the implementation of artistic exchange.

International actions (Montevideo/URUGUAY):

• Feasibility study of the national dance production along with INAE Uruguay - Instituto Nacional de Artes Escénicas, a branch of the Direção Nacional de Cultura from the Ministry of Culture - Uruguay (may/19), considering the work of the institution as well as all the organizational structure of public policies on the cultural development of the country to establish cultural interchange dealings
• Presentation of supporting networks with the FIDCU - Festival Internacional Danza do Uruguai, by Santiago Turenne, the festival’s co-creator (may/19).
• Production assistance on the debuting international tour of the show TEIA by the Cia Giro 8, from Goiás, in Córdoba, Argentina (August/19).
• Production Assistance, in colab with the producer Rafael Cambraia, at DJ SCOOBY’s performance in Montevideo and Punta del Este (March/20).
• Production assistant in coop with Rafael Cambraia on the event DELÍRIO, LA FIESTA featuring DJs from Uruguay and also Brazilian Djs living in Uruguay, at Mona Bar em Montevideo (February/19).
• Planning along producer Rafael Cambraia, for the production of the event QUINTAL BRASIL in Montevideo, featuring cultural attractions of music and dance, gastronomy and art, produced by resident Brazilians, aiming to value and disseminate Brazilian cultural plurality in Uruguay (interrupted by the pandemic).

National actions (Recife/Pernambuco/BRASIL):

• Executive production of workshop CORPO ANTROPOFÁGICO - MÉTODOS DE CRIAÇÃO EM DANÇA E PERFORMANCE, with Mari Paula, dance artist living in Spain. Project CENA EDUCA, funded by Funcultura (October/19).
• Executive production of workshop DANÇA CONTEMPOR NEA, with Valeska Gonçalves from Nalini Cia de Dança - GO. Project CENA EDUCA, funded by Funcultura (October/19).
• Executive production of 9th issue of International Festival Cena Cumplicidades held in Recife and Olinda (October/19).
• Executive production on the 8th issue of International Festival Cena Cumplicidades held in Recife, Jaboatão dos Guararapes and Natal/RN (September and October/18).
• Executive Production on the 1st edition of Cena Universidade, held at the Arts and Communication Center of the Federal University of Pernambuco (October/18).
• Local production assistant of dance performance QUANDO SE CALAM OS ANJOS, from the Cia Curitiba de Dança, at Caixa Cultural Recife (January/18)
• Volunteers coordination at the 7th International Festival Cena Cumplicidades held at Recife and Olinda (October and November/17).
