Presentation/Mini-bio:

Fabio Pascoal is from Caruaru (on the semi-arid of Pernambuco). He began his artistic experience At TEA - Theater of Experimental Art, a group founded by his parents in 1962, in Caruaru/PE, always following the cultural development of the city. An active member of the acts developed by TEA, he has been dedicating himself avidly to the production and coordinating workshops, shows, and festivals projects. He is the creator and executive producer of FETEAF - Theater Festival of Agreste which had its first edition in 1981, at that time under the name Student Art Festival, and throughout the years, has become the most important event in performing arts in the state's countryside, welcoming in Caruaru nationally and internationally known groups through the Professional Show, which is part of the event's schedule. In 2005 he created the Research Center, which objective is to carry on the work developed at the Workshop of Theater Initiation promoted by the Theater of Experimental Art Group, through the investigation and further studies of elements such as lightning, performing, dramaturgy and scenography. In the same year he worked as assistant director on the assembly process of Romeo and Juliet, one of TEA's productions. As local producer he has taken part in the editing of the documentaries “Quando as Garagens Virarem Teatros” and “Lições de um Palco Sem Fim” developed by the Joaquim Nabuco Foundation - FUNDAJ/2007. In the present days he is ahead of the requalification project of the Lício Neves Theater, TEA's headquarters, aiming to make it a multi-tasked area, trying to answer the demand for alternative sites for the contemporary theater production.
